orthotics

At Keystone Health, we specialize in optimizing shock absorbency and corrective alignment of the lower limb to alleviate painful conditions of the foot, knee, and hip. Our orthotics are designed to enhance comfort during daily activities and improve performance in various sports and recreational pursuits.

Orthotics are a medical device worn in your desired shoe to optimize the biomechanics of the foot for walking, running, prolonged standing and a comfortable footwear fit. Our orthotics have a triaxial flex that encourages the ideal motion of your foot through gait and helps train the foot muscles to be strong in their optimal range of motion.

What To Expect

We focus on providing personalized care aimed at improving your comfort and mobility. Our Team conducts a thorough assessment to understand your specific needs and recommend orthotics tailored to address your concerns.

This service includes the assessment, fitting, orthotic fabrication, and a follow-up visit to ensure proper fit.

Please bring any specific footwear that you would like your orthotics to fit and some well-worn shoes that you use (to examine the treadwear pattern) with you for your appointment.

What Our Therapists Treat

Whether you’re seeking relief from conditions like plantar fasciitis, bunions, Morton’s neuroma, or patellofemoral syndrome, our orthotics can help enhance your overall function and performance, whether you’re walking, running, skiing, cycling, or exploring the outdoors.

Orthotics with a Plastazote top sheet cover are available and ideal for people with diabetes or neuropathies of the feet to improve circulation in the foot and mitigate pressure sores. Our orthotics can be customized for specific footwear and sport applications, such as downhill and cross-country ski boots, running shoes, hockey skates, and golf shoes.

Insurance Coverage

If using insurance coverage, please check what your policy requires for coverage – you will often need a Dr. Referral. Orthotics cannot be directly billed; you will have to pay for them and can submit your receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement. A 50% deposit is required to complete the order. We will provide you with a biomechanical assessment & manufacturing report, which is commonly required by insurance companies.
